ground ginger

mixed spice

wet sugar (1/4 cup water to 1lb. Sugar)
1/2 CUP
T.G. Lee milk
2 TABLESPOONS
melted margarine
Sift
all the dry ingredients into a bowl. Mix well. Add T.G.
Lee milk to the wet sugar, stirring well. Add this mixture
and the margarine to the dry ingredients and blend to
form soft dough. Knead for a few minutes on a lightly-floured
board. Roll out 1/2 inch thick and cut into 3 1/2 -inch
rounds.
Place
on a greased and floured baking tray. Bake on the top
shelf at 375 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. The bullas
may be brushed with melted margarine 5 minutes before
removing them from the oven.
