In 1925, one cow and her calf helped our founder, Thomas Gilbert Lee, form what is now T.G. Lee Dairy (a division of Dean Foods) into Central Florida’s largest dairy. Two processing plants, centrally located in Orlando and Orange City, provide quality dairy products and juices to central and northern Florida, including both the east and west coasts.
Customers include major and independent grocers and super centers, warehouse clubs, discount stores, drug stores, hospitals, nursing homes, schools, resorts, restaurants and convenience stores.
More than 80 years of commitment to quality, customer service and community involvement continues to drive the success of T.G. Lee Dairy. Recognized as Florida’s hometown dairy, T.G. Lee continues to grow the sales of its branded product in addition to its private label business for nationally recognized companies.
High demand keeps both processing plants operating six days a week, with distribution running 24 hours a day, seven days a week. TG Lee Dairy’s main plant, in Orlando, processes more than 230,000 gallons of milk per day while the Orange City plant processes 100,000 gallons of milk, juice and drinks per day.
In addition to milk and juice production, T.G. Lee distributes a full line of culture, cream, butter, eggs and Mayfield ice cream from branches located in Orlando, Orange City, Jacksonville, Melbourne, Ocala, Winter Haven, Tampa and Tallahassee.
Today, 600 employees contribute to T.G. Lee Dairy’s success and growth. However, we measure our success in more than dollars. As a leading employer and manufacturer, T.G. Lee Dairy is committed to supporting the communities that we serve — where our employees and families live, work and play.
Times have changed since the days of hand milking. However, T.G. Lee Dairy’s commitment to delivering the highest quality dairy products to consumers remains.
